  长期以来致力于精密机械热态理论及监控技术、微纳加工及微机电系统研究,以及机械工程科学技术与生命科学交叉。先后承担了国家自然科学基金、国家重大科技攻关计划、国家攀登B计划、教育部博士后研究基金、浙江省重大科技计划等20余项任务,发表包括SCI、EI在内200余篇学术论文,授权的国家发明专利60多项,培养的研究生中已有43人获得博士学位。先后获得省部级科技进步奖10项,国家级教学成果奖3项,国务院学位委员会、国家教委授予的“做出突出贡献的中国博士学位获得者”、国务院特殊津贴、浙江省“有突出贡献中青年专家”等荣誉称号。
